Strawberry Avalanche
Review

This is a Strawberry Avalanche review, of the song by Adam Young of Owl City. The song is a wonderfully upbeat, happy tune that just makes you smile!

Strawberry Avalanche was originally released in digital-only format on June 2nd, 2009, but was later included on Owl City's Ocean Eyes Deluxe Edition CD along with somewhat better known songs such as Vanilla Twilight and Fireflies. As with these and most other Owl City songs, the lyrics of this song are light and playful, and give a person a sense of serenity that is seldom found in pop music. Although the song and Owl City have been popularized by a predominantly teenage audience, it is not something that is only for children, but rather, for anybody that is a child at heart.

The meaning of the song seems to relate to the idea of joyful, even ecstatic, dreams of fruits, stars and sweet times with others ("reverie" means "daydreaming"). With such a focus on dreaming, this song no doubt has a special significance for it's author, Adam Young, who is reportedly an insomniac (click here to read an interview of Adam Young by John Dingwall of the DailyRecord.co.uk, the Daily Record newspaper online (Scotland), where Adam discusses his insomnia; clicking on the link will open this page in a new window).

Whatever may have motivated him to write this work, it is definitely destined to be a classic for strawberry dreamers everywhere! It's very much an inspiration here at StrawberriesForStrawberryLovers.Com, where it is hoped that the same sweet, light-hearted and uplifting sentiment of this song will also be felt by all the visitors to this site!

After all, sweet, light-hearted, and uplifting are the very qualities that make us love strawberries so much!

(Note: the review for this song is included simply to introduce strawberry lovers to a great strawberry tune. If you like the song, please do the right thing, and buy a copy. Thank you!)
