This is how to make frozen strawberry margaritas without alcohol... better than all other recipes for a virgin strawberry margarita.
Non-Alcoholic ("Virgin") Strawberry Margarita Drink Recipe
- 6 Large Strawberries (+2 Strawberries, 1 per Glass)
- 2 Lime Slices (1 for Each Glass's Rim)
- 6 Large Ice Cubes (About the Size of the Strawberries)
- 1 Tablespoon (15 mL) Orange Juice
- 4 Tablespoons (60 mL) Lime Juice
- 2 Tablespoons (30 mL) Agave Nectar
- Sea Or Kosher Salt (a Little for the Rim of Each Glass)
Place the 4 strawberries, 6 ice cubes, lime and orange juices, and agave nectar into a blender and blend until slushy.
For decoration, carefully slice the remaining strawberries length-wise from their tips, about 3/4 of the length. Place a strawberry on the rim of each glass, and move the strawberry around the rim of the glass. Remove the strawberry, add some salt to a plate or the palm of your hand, and turn the glass rim gently through the salt to coat the rim. Replace the strawberry on the rim and add the daiquiri slush. Cut a lime slice half-way across and place it on the rim next to the strawberry.
Makes two approximately 8 oz (250 mL) drinks (two drinks like the one shown in the picture on this page).
This answers the question "How do you make a 'virgin' strawberry margarita?" The ingredients in a strawberry margarita made with alcohol are very similar, with the single tablespoon (15 mL) of orange juice being replaced by 5 tablespoons (80 mL) Cointreau or similar orange liqueur. Also, 3/4 cup of a "100% agave" blanco or reposado tequila is added. The amount of ice used would also be increased to 12 large cubes for a frozen, slushy margarita.
